The Mark Platform is a web-based go-to-market platform founded in 2023. It serves developer-founders — software engineers, indie hackers, and technical co-founders — who have strong coding skills but no marketing experience. The platform guides users through an 8-step marketing journey: product definition, customer research, positioning, buyer persona creation, offer building, go-to-market planning, funnel mapping, and daily execution tracking. The goal is to help each user acquire their first 100 paying customers within 90 days using structured workflows, proven templates, and real-time performance dashboards. The platform includes a personalized Marketing Coach (Pro plan) that generates weekly action plans, step-by-step playbooks for 8 marketing channels, industry benchmarks for 6 product categories, bottleneck diagnosis with fallback recommendations, and daily streak gamification. Users can export coaching data to Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or Gemini via the MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration for AI-assisted content generation.
About Us
Built by a developer.
For developers.
The Mark Platform exists because the hardest part of building a product isn't the code — it's finding the people who will pay for it.
The story
In 2023, our founder launched his third SaaS product. Like the first two, it got a few upvotes on Product Hunt, a handful of free signups, and then — nothing. The code was solid. The problem was real. But there was no strategy, no positioning, no system for turning strangers into customers.
He spent the next three months reading every marketing book, watching every course, and interviewing 40+ developers about their go-to-market failures. The pattern was always the same: developers are exceptional at building but have no structured approach to marketing. They either avoid it entirely or approach it so randomly that nothing compounds.
The Mark Platform was built to solve exactly that problem. Not another course to watch. Not another framework to read. A working system — inside a tool — where you define, research, strategize, execute, and track your path to 100 customers with daily structure and accountability.
Our mission
We believe that every great product deserves to find its customers. Too many good ideas die because the builder didn't have the tools or knowledge to bring them to market. Our mission is to close that gap — to give every developer a clear, repeatable system for turning a product into a business.
Why a coach, not just tools
In 2026, we added the Marketing Coach — the feature that changes everything. We realized that giving developers tools wasn't enough. They needed someone to tell them what to do next. Not a chatbot with generic advice, but a system that knows their product, their metrics, their stage, and their industry — and generates specific, sequenced, real-world actions with fallback recommendations.
The coach is powered entirely by data, not AI hallucination. It combines the user's 8-step journey data, execution metrics, lifecycle stage, and product maturity score with industry benchmarks from 6 product categories to generate personalized weekly action plans. Each action names the platform, the template, the persona, and the expected outcome. And when something doesn't work, the coach provides specific "try this instead" fallback advice.
We also added step-by-step playbooks for 8 real-world marketing platforms — cold email, Reddit, LinkedIn, Hacker News, Twitter/X, Product Hunt, IndieHackers, and Dev.to — because "do marketing" isn't actionable. "Go to r/webdev, post this question about your pain point, engage with every comment, then DM anyone who describes your exact problem" — that's actionable.
What we believe
Systems beat motivation
Motivation fades. A clear system with daily checklists and metrics keeps you moving even when enthusiasm drops.
Research before building
The biggest marketing mistake is spending months building before talking to a single customer. We encourage research first.
Specificity wins
Trying to sell to everyone sells to no one. Deep knowledge of one specific customer archetype beats vague "anyone who needs this" positioning.
Marketing is a skill
It's learnable. Like coding, it just requires the right resources, deliberate practice, and feedback loops — which is exactly what The Mark Platform provides.
